Frecia Gonzalez is a public health lifer. Originally from New Jersey, she made her way to Southern California to attend Loma Linda University, where she earned a master’s in Public Health. She is pursuing a doctorate. She holds the position of Regional Director and oversees substance abuse disorder prevention programs in Los Angeles County. As an experienced leader, she brings a unique perspective, having worked with diverse communities since 2005. Frecia has contributed to research related to public policy effectiveness, cognitive decline and cultural perceptions, health behaviors and video gaming, and healthy food access.
