Marcus Fisher (He/Him) is a Youth Coordinator Assistant for the Elevate Youth program in the South Bay and Border Communities of San Diego County. He is a native San Diegan and has been an advocate and dedicated worker in the homeless services field since 2006. His work at IPS includes focusing on community engagement and health education with at-risk youth and young adults. Marcus has been involved with many projects and communities that focus on LGBTQ+ advocacy; trauma-informed care; HIV prevention; access to healthcare; relationship violence and prevention; the equity and inclusion of people of color; fair housing; and human trafficking. His passions include furthering the discussion on diversity, equity, and inclusion in communities and helping others reach their goals in bettering their lives.
