Program Manager

“Achieving health equity takes time. That is why we should not give up on our passion, our resilience, and our willingness to learn and understand.”

Michael Jung is the Program Manager at the Los Angeles County office, serving on the Westside Impact Project. The project’s primary objective is to reduce youth substance misuse and overdose, encompassing prescription drugs, marijuana, alcohol, and methamphetamine. He specifically represents the communities of Culver City, Santa Monica, and Venice.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in San Jose, California, Michael moved to Southern California a decade ago. It was there that he discovered his passion for advocacy and public health while securing his first job in the transportation policy sector. His overarching goal is to achieve health equity and bolster the resilience of the communities he serves through public opinion and advocacy efforts. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from UCLA. In his free time, Michael enjoys participating in runs and hikes, spending time with family and his White German Shepherd, and expanding his collection of new Funko pops and vinyl records.
