“I want to work towards a future of public health where all communities have equal access to a healthy and safe life.”
Hannah Cordeiro (she/her) is a Prevention Specialist for the Binge and Underage Drinking Initiative in San Diego. She graduated from UC San Diego in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a minor in Psychology. In her undergrad, she was a member of the International Health Collective, a student organization and nonprofit, where she helped create a Harm Reduction project that educated students on harm reduction, provided resources and supplies for communities who use injectable drugs, and initiated a syringe service program in San Diego County. Hannah’s experience in health education and harm reduction inspires her passion for substance use prevention, increasing access to healthy environments, and working toward health equity.
Outside work, Hannah enjoys reading, gardening, playing tennis, and spending time with her cat Marci.
