Kendall Watanabe

Kendall Watanabe (she/her) is the Regional Director for Los Angeles County Programs. She provides senior leadership and strategic guidance to the LA County-funded projects across West Los Angeles, West Hollywood, Culver City, and Santa Monica. As the IPS representative with Los Angeles County funders, she oversees program evaluation processes, data collection & analysis, program compliance, media advocacy, community organizing & coalitions, and policy/systems change activities.

Kendall received her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Washington and her Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) from Yale University. Prior to starting at IPS, Kendall has held appointments at the American Public Health Association (APHA) and worked in various non-profit, clinical, and school-based healthcare settings as a health educator and project manager. She is passionate about social justice issues surrounding youth-based advocacy and reproductive health rights, as well as advancing the field of meta research/analysis. Outside of work, Kendall enjoys playing volleyball and tennis, exploring new hiking trails, and competitive board games.
