IPS’ (en)Visionary Minds program addresses the urgent mental health crisis facing Latine youth ages 10-25 in San Diego County’s Border Region. Between 2011 and 2019, the county experienced a 1,746% increase in youth behavioral health emergency room visits, underscoring the need for culturally responsive, accessible mental health support.
Meet ME Outdoors
IPS’ Meet ME Outdoors program expands access to outdoor recreation and cultural experiences for youth and families in the Mountain Empire region of East County San Diego. Built on the foundation of IPS’ Youth Community Access work, the program removes barriers that have historically limited rural communities’ access to parks, public lands, and cultural spaces.

Elevate Youth California
IPS’ Youth in Action (YIA) program empowers young people ages 12-26 in San Diego County’s Border Region to become leaders, advocates, and change agents addressing substance use prevention through social justice and civic engagement.
Clean Coast Collaborative
The Clean Coast Collaborative (CCC) engages youth in San Diego’s South Bay to be vocal advocates of the region’s southernmost and border-adjacent coastal region, particularly Imperial Beach, as it experiences a health crisis stemming from water pollution.
