Marian Novak
IPS Associate
Marian Novak has worked extensively with the hospitality industry for the past 25 years. During the last 20 years she has served as Project Director for the Responsible Hospitality Coalition of San Diego County, a model for several other similar programs around the country. A coalition of diverse perspectives promoting policy development, prevention programs and research, to reduce problems associated with alcohol and other drugs in the commercial environment. The last 10 years she has served as the California Coalition Manager of RADD, a program dedicated to saving lives and reducing injury among ages 21-34 on California’s roads and highways. She has worked with over 50 colleges throughout California.
She is a certified instructor for several Responsible Beverage Service programs, and trains more than 3000 volunteers at community events a year. She also serves on the RBS advisory board, coordinated by the Alcoholic Beverage Control, to establish responsible beverage standards for the State of California.
