Community Engagement and Enrollment
IPS is dedicated to bridging the gap for immigrant families, low-income households, and communities facing social and health inequities in Los Angeles County’s Gateway Cities, including Montebello, Alhambra, Pico Rivera, and Whittier. Through our comprehensive outreach and enrollment assistance plan, we connect residents to vital programs like CalKIDS and resources featured in the California Community Resource Guide.
IPS partners with schools, community-based organizations, promotoras/community health workers, and local coalitions to provide culturally competent and linguistically accessible enrollment support. Through this network of “trusted messengers,” our outreach efforts include promotional campaigns, community events, trainings, door-to-door engagement, and recurring enrollment sessions, ensuring that families receive direct assistance.
By spreading the word through social media and multilingual materials, we make sure information reaches everyone. Combining structured enrollment processes, data-driven decision-making, and a strong focus on community needs, IPS is committed to reducing systemic inequities and improving the quality of life for those most impacted in Los Angeles County.
