Ricardo Piña is the Los Angeles Trusted Messenger Community Outreach Supervisor. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Service & Public Policy from Arizona State University. His commitment to social justice and human rights advocacy is exemplified through his various community work. Ricardo has connected with a plethora of residents in Los Angeles while volunteering at the Los Angeles LGBT Center as well as facilitating leadership skills in high school students across the county while interning at the Human Rights Watch. Ricardo believes that every human being has a right to dignity and respect and focuses on utilizing a multi-faceted approach to delivering critical information and resources to local neighborhoods across Los Angeles.
When Ricardo isn’t advocating for human rights, you can catch him painting a beautiful landscape, writing a lyrical poem, or out on a hike with his dog Milo! Ultimately, Ricardo is adamant that creativity is the best tool to advocate for equitable social justice
