Alexis Lyken is a Prevention Specialist for the High Desert Program in San Bernardino County. Alexis graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a bachelor’s in Environmental Science and a minor in Geo-technology. Over the years, she has been an advocate for human rights working for the Fair-Trade campaigns, and an advocate for sex trafficking victims working alongside local non-profit organizations. Alexis has several years of experience working with geographic information systems (GIS) and is now a part of the IPS mapping team. Alexis enjoys analyzing data, and with the power of GIS, she is able to help others better understand the needs of their communities. When she’s not working, Alexis enjoys volunteering with hospice, reading, and geo-caching.
