Learn to create evidence-informed logic models that get used

Logic models provide a framework for problem-solving. However, they are often developed and used primarily for research and evaluation purposes. This webinar will provide practical support for creating and using logic models at every stage of public health campaigns, policy advocacy efforts, and community change projects.

Attendees will be led through the creation of a hypothetical, evidence-informed logic model for advancing social change that:

  • Identifies the necessary resources, inputs, outputs, and expected outcomes
  • Incorporates the underlying values, beliefs, and assumptions that inform the design and approach of a project
  • Effectively moves research into practice

This webinar is intended for program/project implementers working to improve public health outcomes, advance health equity, and champion social justice at a community level. It will also be valuable for funders, researchers, and evaluators concerned with applying research in the field.

Presenter: Brenda Simmons, CEO of the Institute for Public Strategies. Ms. Simmons has been leading community change projects for almost 20 years. She has implemented successful social change projects and provided training and technical assistance on the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects throughout the country.
