Community Trauma/ACEs
Entire communities can experience collective stress from a range of factors, including lack of economic opportunity and high crime. Community trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) refer to that collective impact, leading to some of society’s most entrenched health disparities that can span generations. The following resources are intended to assist public health professionals in implementing programs working to mitigate the effects of community-level trauma.
